Why Become a Member?

Victimization can strike without warning, leaving individuals and families to navigate complex emotional, legal, and practical challenges they never expected to face. Police-based victim services programs play a vital role in helping people regain safety, stability, and confidence during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

By becoming a member of Police Victim Services of British Columbia (PVSBC), you join a province-wide community of dedicated victim services staff, police partners, criminal justice professionals, and engaged community members who share a common vision:

to ensure that every person impacted by crime is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Membership strengthens your voice and connects you to a network committed to:

  • Advancing best practices in trauma-informed, culturally safe support
  • Enhancing collaboration between police, community agencies, and justice partners
  • Elevating the needs of programs and clients through advocacy and sector leadership

Together, we are shaping a stronger, more coordinated victim services sector—one where no survivor faces their journey alone.
